DRAGONFLIES!!!
Marsh, marsh, marsh!
Summer sun, so harsh, harsh, harsh!
Gimme some Marsh-y-land!
Windsand
Eastern shore reeds
Beads
of sweat on my brow
As I walk along the Beach Road anyhow.
If this shoulder landslides,
If this dirt gives to mud-
Do you think I care?
Do you think I dare?
Marsh, marsh, marsh
Harsh, harsh, harsh
I don’t mind
Leaving humans behind
Me and my kind
We’ll live in there.
When the Darners alight on reed tips, I’ll be a still egret, my wings like new fingertips-
Rustle bustle get blown
I don’t even know!
Amberwings in August staleness
trying to find a way to quale this
the marsh
LIVE DIE SOAR
Alight here
Along the road
Along the shoulder
MARSH HARSH MARSH…mallow!
Funny! I haven’t written a poem in awhile. I think I needed permission to write and not worry whether it’s good or bad.

Thank you so much. It was so fun to just let go and let it roll…
Are you writing poetry yourself or should I check your blog before I ask?

I write personal essays, short stories and I’ve got several books in the work. I’ve recently started to write a little poetry.
